Following feedback received since launching our share option recording facility in June 2020 you can now generate option certificates in Inform Direct in the same way as for share certificates.
At the same time we have extended the suite of templates for the membership certificates for companies limited by guarantee.
This means that you can use the same template for all your different types of certificate:
- share
- membership; and
- option.
Produce share option certificates
Inform Direct allows you to produce option certificates when granting share options and has a variety of designs to choose from.
Generating option certificates
The option certificates can easily be generated at the same time as recording the share option grants. At the end of the grant process you will be asked if you want to generate the certificates. If you do you will then be taken to a screen where you can change the certificate numbers as necessary.
As for share certificates, when generated the certificates will be saved to your document library and they are recorded in the maintain share certificates area. They are clearly identified as option certificates.
The option certificates can also be generated here by selecting the ‘Generate option certificate’ button if needed. This takes you through a simple wizard to generate the required certificate using your chosen template.
Whichever method you use to generate the option certificates you will have the same nine templates to choose from as for share certificates.
Membership certificates
As mentioned above we have extended the suite of templates for the membership certificates for companies limited by guarantee so that this now includes the recently introduced three new share certificate templates. This means that you can use the same template for all certificates generated for all companies in your portfolio.
