With the increase in the number of rejections by Companies House following the enhanced powers conferred on them by the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 we have automated the sending of emails to you when Companies House reject a submission you have made using Inform Direct.
Automating the Companies House rejection messages will mean that you will receive prompt details of the reasons for the rejections. Thereby giving you more time to resolve the issue before making revised submissions or any other required actions.
At the same time as doing this we are making a change to your Portfolio screen. Now when an incorporation is rejected by Companies House it will stay on your portfolio allowing you to:
- see that it has been rejected
- see the reasons for the rejection
- amend the incorporation
- resubmit it once amended
Dealing with Companies House submissions
Inform Direct electronically submits the majority of company secretarial changes to Companies House, providing confirmation when accepted and also details when rejected.
Deciding who should receive emails
Users can easily manage those who will receive the automated emails notifying them of the details of why Companies House has rejected a submission. This is either at the account level or individually using the new email setting of ‘Notification of failed Companies House filing’.
The rejection emails
The automated rejection emails will continue to include the same explanations as those sent by our support team. If you have any issues with the rejection then our support team will be able to help you.
Incorporations rejected by Companies House
When Companies House reject an incorporation, the record will now remain on your portfolio screen in the ‘Your pending companies’ section. It will have the status of ‘Rejected by Companies House’ and give you certain pencil options:
There will always be the option to view the reasons Companies House rejected the submission. In most cases you will also have the option to amend the incorporation before resubmitting it to Companies House.
