Even with summer approaching, there’s no taking it easy for the Inform Direct development team. We’ve kept them busy adding more features to our celebrated company secretarial platform. We may have no suntanned developers, but we do have these goodies to offer:
Community interest companies
There are now 10,000 community interest companies (“CICs”) registered with Companies House. The CIC is one of the fastest growing types of company in the UK, increasingly popular amongst social enterprises as they’re set up for the benefit of the community rather than for private shareholders.
Inform Direct now supports Companies House filing and the maintenance of registers for community interest companies, so managers of CICs and their accountants can choose to manage their records the easy way. With intuitive processes and a whole load of help along the way if you need it, it’s the perfect solution for any CIC, whether set up as a public company, private company limited by shares or a company limited by guarantee.
Minutes for every dividend payment
It’s been great to hear from users how our dividend payment wizard has revolutionised how they produce paperwork for dividends, making it supremely easy to create a full set of dividend vouchers in just moments.
You’ve told us that we could make life even easier by producing a minute of the directors’ meeting to approve the dividend. So that’s just what we’ve done. All the details of the dividend being paid – as well as the names of directors – are populated directly from Inform Direct into a template meeting minute to save you time.
If you do need to make any special amendments to the meeting minute, you can easily do so in Microsoft Word.
A host of other improvements requested by you
We love hearing how much users enjoy Inform Direct and the ways in which it’s making things easier for you. But we also really appreciate hearing your ideas for improvements, whether they’re large or small. We’ve incorporated a whole load of these tweaks into the latest release, just to make things that little bit smoother.
One of the many subtle improvements we’d added is the ability for users with more than one company to sort their portfolio screen. So if you’re interested in which companies’ due dates for annual returns (replaced by confirmation statements from 30 June 2016) or accounts are closest, you’ll find it easy to find out at a glance.
