Exciting growth in companies formed in Tyne and Wear during 2020
2020 might have been a tough year but Tyne and Wear yet again saw a growth of 8% in the number of incorporations as compared to 2019. Despite all the struggles the positive numbers speak for themselves: 7,867 businesses formed.
There was a strong performance across the county with Newcastle upon Tyne accounting for the majority of companies formed with 2,646 formations. Sunderland saw 1,620 new companies whilst Gateshead recorded 1,460 incorporations. See more detailed information below.
