South Yorkshire has an exciting rise in companies formed during 2020

Continuing the trend from the last few years, South Yorkshire formed a record number of companies. 10,450 company  incorporations were recorded across the county; an 8.3% rise from 2019.

Despite the pandemic, lockdowns, and the loom of Brexit there were positive signs across South Yorkshire. Doncaster alone accounted for 2,836 companies. Barnsley registered 1,493 incorporations, Rotherham had 1,871 and Sheffield stole the show with 4,228.
