Exciting growth in companies formed in Scotland during 2020
2020 might have been a tough year but Scotland yet again saw a growth of 4% in the number of incorporations as compared to 2019. Despite all the struggles the positive numbers speak for themselves: 34,280 businesses formed.
There was a strong performance across the country with Glasgow accounting for the majority of companies formed with 7,293 formations. Edinburgh saw 5,068 new companies whilst South Lanarkshire recorded 2,186 incorporations. See more detailed information below.
