Limited company formation hits new high in Somerset

There were record numbers of limited companies formed in Somerset in 2018. Overall, the county saw 5,537 new companies come into existence, with 1,362 in North Somerset, 1,262 in Bath and North East Somerset, 779 in Taunton Deane and 755 in South Somerset. At the end of the year, the total number of companies based in the county stood at a record high of 49,396.
