Record UK company formations as business numbers hit all-time high

UK company formation reached record levels in 2018, with 669,855 companies formed across the country.

The continued drive to form a UK company, despite Brexit anxieties, also meant the total number of companies nationwide hit an all-time high of 4,308,022. The UK company population is up 4.6% in a year and 30.8% in five years.
