All time high in startup companies in Lancashire in 2018

A record number of people moved to start a company in Lancashire in 2018. The county was home to 11,291 new start up companies, with 1,322 formed in Blackpool, 1,316 in Preston, 1,297 in Blackburn with Darwen, 1,096 in Fylde and 813 in Burnley. The number of UK companies based in Lancashire grew by a hefty 6.3% in 12 months, after taking account of those dissolved in 2018.
