Record number of companies now based in Derbyshire

Derbyshire witnessed an increase in the setup of new companies in 2018, with 6,167 companies established over the year. That compares to 5,803 formations in 2017, and brings the total number of companies based in the county to an all-time high total of 46,632.

There were 2,164 new companies incorporated in Derby itself, 634 in Amber Valley, 607 in Erewash, 571 in High Peak, 519 in South Derbyshire and 494 in Chesterfield.
