Worcestershire ends 2023 with more companies than ever before

Worcestershire had 45,794 registered companies at the end of 2023 – a record figure. It represents growth of 4.2% over 2022’s figure of 43,964.

Overall growth was held back somewhat by a small drop in the number of new business registered, with 4,808 company formations versus 4,941 in 2022. The number of companies dissolved was almost exactly the same. Flat growth for the county, then – but it managed to keep its 35^th place in the national counties league table of company formations, offering promise for 2025.
