Wiltshire achieves second successive annual rise in company formations

4,965 new companies were formed in Wiltshire during 2023, an increase of 9.4% over 2022’s figure which brings the total companies registered in the county to 42,004.

This is the second successive annual rise in company formations in Wiltshire, showing that its entrepreneurs are confident despite challenging trading conditions. There were 7.3 new incorporations per 1,000 people in 2023, versus 6.6 in 2022 and 6.5 in 2021. Wiltshire has climbed one place in the national company formations counties league table, from 39^th to 38^th.
