More Nottinghamshire businesses formed in 2023 than in any other year

Nottinghamshire dropped a place in the national league table of company formations in 2023 – from 16^th to 17^th – but still achieved a record year with 9,559 incorporations and 7,255 dissolutions. The final figure of 64,763 registered companies in the county represented a growth of 4.2% over 2022. We think that’s a strong showing of resilience by Nottinghamshire’s entrepreneurs in the face of a business environment that included wavering consumer confidence, historically high costs and rising interest rates.
