North Yorkshire saw record growth in company formations in 2023

At the end of 2023 there were 65,895 registered businesses in North Yorkshire, a record figure that represents 5.7% growth on 2022. This was helped by a greater number of company formations than ever before: 9,266 against 5,885 the previous year.

This strong performance by North Yorkshire’s entrepreneurs sees the county rise two places in the national counties company formations league table, from 20^th to 18^th.
