Norfolk achieves a record year for company formations in 2023

A greater number of new companies were formed in Norfolk in 2023 than in any previous year. The figure of 5,723 new businesses formed was an increase of 6.3% over 2022 and brought the total number of registered companies in the county to an all-time high of 48,437.

This strong performance has allowed Norfolk to keep its 33^rd place in the national counties league table of company formations. It has climbed from 37^th place in 2020.
