Merseyside achieves a new record for company formations in 2023

Merseyside had 14,307 new businesses formed in 2023 – a new record for company formations that brought the total number of companies in the county to an all-time high of 83,450.

This 2.7% year on year growth in company numbers is a strong performance by Merseyside’s entrepreneurs that sees it gain a place in the national counties company formations league table from 12^th to 11^th.
