Bristol company formations growth stagnant in 2023

There was little change in company numbers in Bristol during 2023 – it ended the year with 37,161 registered companies against 2022’s 37,039. This barely moves the needle in terms of total company numbers. The same is true for company formations, with 5,050 new incorporations in 2023 versus 4,951 in 2022. This stagnant growth drops Bristol down a place to 37th in the national company formations league table.
