The number of new company incorporations in Worcestershire is at the lowest since 2015.

With just 4,941 new businesses opening their doors in the county during 2022 it is surprising that after an incredibly difficult 2021 growth in the total number companies registered in Shropshire shows signs of recovering. The county hasn’t quite recovered to the 44,570 companies registered in 2020 but shows promise increasing from 42,442 in 2021 to 43,964 in 2022.

This equates to a growth rate of 3.6% – whilst still below the national rate of 4.6%, it certainly shows things are heading in the right direction.
