Overall growth in Staffordshire during 2022 falls for the second year in a row.

Due to a record number of dissolutions in the county (6,527) combined with new incorporations falling for the first time since 2016 by 5.5%, Staffordshire saw its overall growth rate drop for the second year in a row from 4.91% to 4.3%.

It is therefore unsurprising that the county fell from position 18, to 21 in the companies formed in 2022 league table.

Despite all of this, the county shows a respectable growth rate of 4.3%, only marginally below the UK average of 4.6%.
