The number of new companies opening in Kent during 2022 falls for the second year in a row.
With 16,109 new businesses being formed in Kent during 2022 the county continued a downward trend in new formation activity.
With that being said, Kent does manage to hold on to position 6 in the league table of total number of companies registered by county with a growth rate for 2022 of 2.9%. Whilst modest, Kent clearly remains a favourable location for new businesses reaching a record high 130,283 companies registered in the county by the end of 2022.
