Suffolk continues 10 year pattern of continuous growth.

Whilst the number of new incorporations per 1000 people during 2021 in Suffolk is certainly less than impressive, the county manages to achieve a growth rate of 5.9% for 2021  considering the UK average growth of 3.5% certainly paints a slightly different picture.

If we look at the breakdown of the 5.9%, 2021 in Suffolk saw 5,445 new companies starting up and 3,854 companies dissolved. A 30% increase on businesses closing down than the previous year is of course not particularly desirable however this actually sits on the best side of the UK average of 45%. The county also bucks the national trend when considering the 6.67% increase on new incorporations than the preceding year. So, despite the challenges of another pandemic year, new business activity in Suffolk is proving to be very promising.
