Growth in South Yorkshire unable to maintain precedent set in 2020, yet is above the UK average.

South Yorkshire sees an impressive 3.49% increase on 2020 in new company incorporations, bucking the UK trend which saw new incorporations fall by 1.2%. 44.1% of those incorporations were in Sheffield alone. One might expect therefore that overall growth in 2021 for the county would exceed 2020 however with the number of dissolutions also rising to 8,503  – a marked 47.6% increase – this was not the case.

Still, South Yorkshire saw a growth rate of 4.3% which is certainly something worthy of celebration as the total number of companies registered reaches an all time high of 68,227.
