Dissolutions in Oxfordshire stunt overall growth which hits a record 10 year low.

4,163 companies were dissolved in Oxfordshire in 2021 – a 31.28% increase on the previous year and the highest sum in at least 10 years. Together with the number of new companies being formed decreasing against the previous year for the first time since 2016, the trials of yet another COVID-19 year are clear in a disappointing 1.8% growth for 2021.

With incorporations dropping and dissolutions increasing, it is not surprising therefore, that Oxfordshire has dropped 4 positions on the company formation league table.
