Growth in North Yorkshire unable to maintain precedent set by 2020 after reaching record 5 year low.

Defying the general UK trend, the number of new companies formed in North Yorkshire during 2021 declined from 2020 equating to an overall growth rate of 2.2%. This is both below the UK growth rate and the lowest growth for the county in over 5 years.

However, with company formation hot spot locations such as Leeds, Bradford and Sheffield bordering the county it is in some measure unsurprising therefore that North Yorkshire falls behind the national average in most respects.
