Very slow company growth in Oxfordshire reflects ongoing challenges in the business community.

The preceding year saw the county’s lowest overall growth for at least 10 years. Recovery in 2022 was slow, with the growth rate only increasing by .1 of a % from 1.8% in 2021 to 1.9% in 2022. Considering the number of new companies formed in Oxfordshire during 2022 fell to pre 2019 figures, this is not particularly surprising.
