The total number of companies registered in Buckinghamshire reaches record high during 2022.

After a disappointing 2021, growth in the total number companies registered in Buckinghamshire recovers well sitting at 5.6% – notably above the national rate of 4.6%, This is despite the number of company dissolutions in the county increasing from 7,932 in 2021 to 8,214 in 2022 – this bucks the national trend which actually saw a decrease in the number of businesses closing their doors compared to 2021.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the majority of new company formations in Buckinghamshire during 2022 were centred in Milton Keynes, with 3,323 companies formed.
