In preparation for the ECCT Act changes at Companies House on 18th November, Companies House will be taken offline on the afternoon of the 17th November.
Here we outline what to expect from Companies House and Inform Direct in the run up to and on 18th November.
17th November 5:30pm – Inform Direct will be taken offline
From 6:00pm onwards Companies House will be offline and they will not accept any more filings for the day. This means that we need to prevent any Inform Direct users from completing any processes that would result in a filing being queued to be sent.
Inform Direct will therefore be taken offline at 5:30pm to ensure that on 18th November there are no filings started on the 17th that are stuck in ‘limbo’.
17th November 6:00pm – Companies House clear their backlog
Companies House will be working through all submissions received by them before 6:00pm in an attempt to ‘clear their decks’ so they have a clear start for the new filings (using the new rules) on 18th November.
18th November 9:00am – Inform Direct back online
Companies House anticipate bringing everything back online before 9:00am. We need to wait for confirmation from Companies House that all has been successful before we open Inform Direct back up for you to use.
18th November 9:00am onwards – Ongoing monitoring throughout the day
These are the largest changes Companies House have made (in one go) in a decade. We expect they may exhibit issues. Therefore, we are going to be monitoring Companies House throughout the day and may have to react as the day unfolds: please bear with us.
