Anglia Registrars Ltd, trading as Inform Direct (Inform Direct), provides this notice in order to meet legal and regulatory requirements in relation to management and protection of your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

This privacy notice provides information about what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, whom we share it with and how long we keep it.

Why do we collect your data?

Inform Direct uses your personal data to process your application for employment, and we use it to assess your suitability for the role(s) you have applied for and to progress your application.  We also use this information to make contact with you following your application.

We do not use your personal data for automated profiling or decision making during the application process.

This personal data includes information which you have supplied by email, letter, telephone contact, social networking or other online platform.

What information do we collect?

The data collected to process your application for employment is:

  • Your name
  • Your contact details (email address and phone number)
  • Your CV and the information included within or accompanying it.

How do we protect the data we collect?

Inform Direct uses a range of security systems in order to protect your personal data.  These include network security monitoring, employee data protection training and access control.

Sharing your personal data

Applicant data will be shared internally with our HR department and hiring management team. This data will only be shared externally if required for legal purposes and not outside the European Economic Area unless appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long will we retain your data?

Application data is retained by Inform Direct for up to three years from the date on which it was provided, although it may be traceable in emails for up to 20 years.

Your rights

You have rights in relation to the management and access to your personal data.  Inform Direct ensures you can exercise these rights by contacting our Data Protection Representative, whose details are provided at the end of this notice.

You have a right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct your data
  • Erase your data
  • Restrict the processing of your data
  • Object to the processing of your data

When a request is made our Data Protection Representative will log this as a Subject Access Request and respond to your request within 30 Days.
